Net Media Cost
Net media costs are the fees that the agency must pay the publisher for serving the advertiser’s ads on their site.
How is Net Media Cost calculated?
Packages are used to group together placements that share the same cost. In most cases, costs are calculated based on delivery on the package level, not each individual placement. This means that if multiple placements are assigned to the same package, the combined delivery of all placements should be considered when determining the costs.
Costs can only accrue between the contracted start and end dates for a package. Delivery on days outside the contracted start and end dates do not accrue costs in reporting.
If the ‘Cap Cost’ setting is checked off on the cost package, costs will stop accruing once the designated quantity is delivered. This cap is determined based on delivery within the reporting date range selected that falls within the contract start and end date specified for the package.
What is the media cost?
The cost of all impressions, clicks, and activities during the specified date range, based on the schedule and pricing information that was entered for each placement. Any impressions, clicks, or activities that occur outside the run dates of the placement are not included in media cost calculations.
