What is schema markup?

Schema markup, also known as structured data, is the language of search engines, using a unique semantic vocabulary. It is code used to more clearly provide information to search engines in order to understand your content.

Why is schema markup important?

Basically, schema markup will make your web page look better in search engine results pages (SERPs) because it enhances the rich snippets displayed under the page title of your content.

How important is schema markup for SEO?

It’s important to understand that the use of schema markup is not a ranking factor. On-page markup helps search engines understand the information on webpages and provide richer results. A shared markup vocabulary makes it easier for webmasters to decide on a markup schema and get maximum benefit for their efforts.

How is Schema markup useful for SEO?
