View Rate
A ratio showing the number of paid views of a video ad to the number of impressions. For example, if you had 5 views and 1000 impressions, then your view rate would be 0.5%.
What is a good view rate?
A general rule of thumb is to expect a 15% view-through rate. This means that 15% of users will go on to watch your video. But the advantage of using TrueView is that you only pay once a user chooses to engage for 30 seconds or more.
What is the view rate of an Adwords?
A view is counted when someone watches your in-stream video ad for 30 seconds or longer. For in-display ads, a view is counted when someone clicks on your thumbnail directing them to your watch page. View Rate: The view rate is the number of views your ad receives divided by the number of impressions it receives.
What is a good average cost per view (CPV) on YouTube or CPM?
It depends on your goals and spends. The more targeted the audience, the country you are targeting, and the share of voice you are buying (spend level per day divided by target audience size) all affect CPV. It also depends on the view rate, higher view rates tend to have lower CPVs. See full article for more details.
