Word Count

The total number of words that appear within the copy of content. Too little (or thin) content can be a signal of low-quality to search engines.

Does word count affect SEO?

SEO is NO LONGER about adding keywords to pages with 300 words of text. In fact, that practice can be toxic to a site. Your content needs to be useful to Google users. If you run an affiliate website or have content that appears on other sites, this is even more important.

How many words is a good page for SEO?

Forbes indicates that an average of 600-700 words per page is optimal for SEO. And, Forbes states that websites with less than 300 words per page are considered “thin” by Google’s standards and, most likely, won’t rank as highly in search.

How long should SEO articles be?

The best blog length for SEO in 2019 is 1,705 Words. According to numerous studies over the last 10 years – Google’s algorithm prefers more content, when going head to head on shorter content posts – helping blog posts with over a 1,000 words do better on average – and driving up the average significantly.
